Daemon Daemon Daemon!!! That's all I can say. The story of Onyx picks up right where Obsidian left off. Katy and the gang survived an attack by an Arum named Baruck. What the others didn't know was that Daemon used his powers to heal Katy and now they have this bizarre connection. Katy can feel Daemon whenever he is nearby, and their heart beats as one. No one knows what happened between Katy and Daemon, it's something they both are trying to figure out. 

I love the chemistry between Daemon and Katy. But in this book, Katy thinks that Daemon's attraction to her is based on their bizarre connection when Daemon saved her. She keeps denying it and Daemon steps up to the plate and tries to prove it to her that it is more than just the connection. It's obvious that he was a total douchbag to her in the first book, but Oh man! Daemon has definitely changed in this one. Yeah he's still a douchbag at certain points, but we get to see the sweet side to Daemon. There were just about as much as steamy and sexy moments as there were the sweet moments. And I loved every part of it.

The D.O.D are in town and they know more about the Luxens than what the Luxens thought they knew. They definitely have their own agenda and things are just getting worse. Blake, the new kid in town seems like a nice person, but he has his own agenda as well. Dawson and Bethany, WHAT???? Seriously...that one kinda caught me off guard since I haven't read Shadows (Lux # 0.5). Dee and the other Luxens don't appear much in this book but you get to see a little more of Dee and Adam together in Onyx. =(

Overall I loved this book. Onyx has definitely gotten darker, more intense, and have more dangerous risks. There was a huge cliffhanger at the end...it made me want to cry. I cannot wait until Opal comes out. I want my own Daemon. Who would have though aliens would be so damn sexy, and hot???  =)
