I'll keep this review simple and short...These picture will pretty much explain how I feel about the book....

I LOVED every part of it, except some parts with Charlie...and I swear! Each book is getting better and better, darker and more intense than the last book! This is the third book in the Fire Spirits series and definitely the best one so far. In this book we find Ari going to Mount Qaf to support her friend Charlie because he's on trial for murdering a half-blood Jinn and also the son of  The Gleaming King. While at court, Ari's secret was exposed by The White King and now her life might be in more danger. She has also caught the attention of Asmodeus, the first Lieutenant to Sultan Azazil, and a deadly force to be reckoned with. Ari and Jai's relationship has gotten a lot better but in this book, their relationship and love for one another is being tested constantly at every turn. There are so many surprises, shocks, and twists and turns at every page that will keep you reading to find out what's going to happen next...LOVED LOVED LOVED this book and cannot wait to read Darkness Kindled which comes out on April 23rd. Samantha Young, you are AWESOME!!! =D

This book was even better than the first! I couldn't put it down. I was so determined to finished the book to find out what happened. I probably looked like this...

Ari is now more than ever determined to take control of her own life. Tired of running, hiding and being hunted, she is now the hunter. She not only have the White King to face, but another player (a dark sorcerer) has stepped in hoping to take Ari. Needing help to look for the dark sorcerer, the Red King sends them to Luca Bitar, Jai's father. The last thing Jai wants to do is take Ari to his father's home to meet his family. He had a horrible childhood growing up, and didn't want Ari to see how they treated him. After finding out the truth about his younger brother's death, Charlie is now determined to get revenge. With the help of the Red King, Charlie is no longer a normal human being, he is one step closer to achieving his goal. 

The book starts off where Smokeless Fire left off. Right from the beginning to the end, it was an emotional roller coaster ride packed with action. There were so much betrayals, heartbreaks, and lies going on, I was all over the place. I don't know who to trust...Is the Red King good or bad? Did I mention he's Ari's uncle?? At certain points he does seem to care about Ari, but then he also takes orders from his father, Sultan Azazil. This book broke my heart so many times. I would be happy and the next moment sad, happy, sad, happy, sad. I just feel so bad for Ari. So many things has happened to her or to her loved ones in such a short amount of time. But Ari is a strong and smart person. She did a good job of taking everything in, and that's what I really like about her. I still love Jai! Seeing how his family treated him makes me want to beat them to a pulp! Charlie, Charlie, Charlie....I feel sorry for him, but I love and hate him at the same time. One person or shall I say, ifrit, that I like is Ms. Maggie! She's protective of Ari and there is definitely more to her than who she seems to be. 

This book is much more darker and intense than the first book. Many new characters were introduced, and the stakes are much higher now. Samantha Young has yet again reminded me of the reasons why I am a huge fan of her writing!!! =)

Definitely looking forward to this book, the second book in The Montgomerys and Armstrongs series. I loved the first book, Never Seduce A Scot, it was an emotional, and heartfelt story that I couldn't help but fall in love with.You can find my review of it here. So of course I am anxiously waiting for the second book since I fell in love with the first. Maya Banks is a amazing writer who makes the readers feel every bit of what the characters are feeling, and her books just gets better and better. This is a book you should definitely keep and eye out for!!  =D

WOW! The first book to the Fire Spirits Series is AWESOME! I really really liked this book. It was definitely different for me because I've never read a YA book that had Jinns in it. I felt like the first couple of chapters dragged on, but it was pivotal to read it and know the background of Ari Johnson. After that, everything flew by so fast! I couldn't get enough!! And can I say? The cover is gorgeous!

 Ari is lonely and struggling to find her place in the world. She's never known her mother, her father is constantly busy with work and never home, and her best friend (Charlie) since childhood has been A.W.O.L ever since his little brother passed away on Ari's 16th birthday. The only thing keeping her going is her loyalty to her friend Charlie and her determination to help get him back on track. After her 18th birthday, her world gets turned upside down when she founds out about who she really is and what her life has now become. I love that Ari is such a strong person who fights for what she wants and those she cares for. She's a kick-ass girl but also emotionally vulnerable. Friendship and trust means everything to her.

Charlie, the best friend since childhood, as been skipping school and hanging out with a new crowd. With Charlie thinking that it was his fault that his younger brother passed away from a car accident, alcohol & drugs became his new friend. He's totally changed. His relationship with his mother and father has changed for the worse. Ari has had a crush on him for the longest time, she thinks she loves him and won't give up on him. She does whatever she can to bring him back but Charlie pushes her away thinking it will protect her from turning into what he's become. I like the fact that Ari is really determined to help Charlie but I can't stand thought of how he treated her for the two years since his brother's passing. He was a total jerk and hurt Ari emotionally multiple times.

Another love interest Jai, is a Jinn bodyguard that was assigned to watch over her and protect her 24/7. Like literally. He was there when she went to school and back home, and there when she went to sleep and woke up. Everywhere she went, he was there. Jai is extremely good looking, mysterious, straight up business only, but there is also so much more to him and meets the eye. He grew up with a horrible childhood and does everything to get his father's acceptance. With his troubled life, he keeps Ari at arms length to protect her but struggling to keep his feelings for her at bay. I love the chemistry between Ari and Jai. The banter and sarcasm they throw at each other are hilarious and brings so much humor into the story. Samantha Young is an expert at throwing their emotions around and dragging out the inevitable. It definitely left me wanting more from Ari and Jai. And Yes! This is a love triangle! I hate it, but there's nothing wrong with a little competition. lol

I love the idea of Jinns. The whole Jinn world & mythology were well though out, creative and fascinating! I love the way Samantha Young wrote the story with so much details and creativity. The characters were awesome. They all had their own personalities and issues with troubled past. I thought the 7 Jinn Kings and their father were very intriguing and left me wanting to know more about their history. Another wonderful book from the amazing Samantha Young, she never disappoints. If you haven't read this yet, it is a must! =)
